qMD is the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Allies (LGBTA) medical student organization at the University of Virginia School of Medicine, serving as a resource for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) issues in medicine and for queer students and their allies. qMD is dedicated to raising awareness of topics concerning LGBT patients and medical professionals for the benefit of the community and medical education. qMD can be contacted at (we’re currently getting a virginia.edu email address. In the meantime, please contact the webmaster bc9bb[at]virginia[dot]edu to have your email forwarded to the qMD presidents).
To stay updated on events organized by qMD, please join the qMD listserv by adding yourself or by contacting the webmaster. The Events page will be updated periodically to reflect events as well but the primary source of events and details will be the qMD listserv.
If you are interested in LGBTQ-friendly hosting for your medical school interview or are interested in other resources, please see the On-Ground Connections tab.
